This is a 72 Bottle all Redwood
Wine rack built for a friend at work. This was my third wine rack,
the design evolved a bit, as I
streamlined the assembly process with the use of some spacer templates.
This was my first wine rack.
It is constructed from Aspen logs and birch dowels.
The top is single piece of Oak
that has been routed to receive the log ends.
This is my second wine rack.
The main wood is oak with 1/4
round pine molding used for the
bottle supports, the top of the "stiles"
are tied into the "rails" with
brass carriage bolts.
This was also a piece built for
a friend at work. In this case the owner wanted to fill a bay window
space
with a bench that was multifunctional.
This is built entirely of redwood, with a brass plated 48" "piano" hinge.
The rack holds 20 bottles, with
book shelf space and wine glass holders. The bench opens to store
nakpins, etc.
This is one of three 24 bottle wine
racks that I made for christmas presents for some family members.
